Membership Information

Membership in the AABS is open to anyone wishing to support the scholarly goals of the Association. Persons joining the AABS need not be engaged in scholarly work. The AABS publishes the quarterly Journal of Baltic Studies. Subscription to the journal is covered by membership dues. In addition, members receive reduced registration fees at AABS conferences and an annual report of the association’s activities. The AABS membership year runs from July 1 to June 30.

2012-2013 Annual dues in US Dollars:

Membership dues are not tax deductible as charitable contributions but may be deductible, depending on individual circumstances, as miscellaneous professional expenses. All donations to the Baltic Studies Fund and to AABS programs are fully deductible in the United States as provided by law.

For residents of the Baltic States only: Residents of the Baltic countries who cannot make payments directly to US accounts by credit card may pay their membership dues ($25.00 USD ) by an electronic bank transfer in U.S. funds to the AABS Baltic Account -- Swedbank LV27 HABA 00 194080 31920. When paying by electronic bank transfer, please send an email to AABS Baltic representative Dr. Andres Ilmar Kasekamp (Andres.Kasekamp@ut.ee) with payment confirmation and contact information.

For residents of Australia: Australian members may pay by check in Australian funds directly to the AABS Australasian Committee, c/o Dr Uldis Ozolins, 221 Rathmines St, Fairfield, Victoria 3078 , Australia; (uldis@languagesolutions.com.au). Any credit card charges should be denominated in US dollars and sent to the AABS Executive Office.
