Annual election of officers is coming soon!
Every March, we elect new officers for the upcoming academic year.
This year, our annual elections night will fall on March 7th. New ACM
members can stop by and pick up their membership card. All ACM members
will be entered to win door prizes (must be present to win). So stop
by at 5:30 in UW1 320 (CSS Linux Lab) to meet the candidates and
submit your vote!
If you can't make it to our Elections Night, please stop by the
Computing and Software Systems advising office in UW1 360 to fill in
your ballot. Ballots will be available until 5:30 pm March 8th.
If you are interested in running for officer for the 07-08 academic
year, please email your name to a current officer and the position
you would like to run
for by Wednesday, February 21st. We will add your name and position
to the ballot.
Find descriptions of duties of each officer position here.

Tee
Shirt Contest!
The
main UW campus ACM chapter has a tee shirt and we want to keep pace
with them. Problem is... we don't have a design. Send us a design
for a tee shirt! The designer of the one we choose will receive
a free tee shirt and some goodies to boot.
We
are ordering some videos from the International ACM on a variety
of topics including:
-
Security
-
Networks
-
Embedded Topics
We
would like to make these available to all CSS students to check
out or have a group screening if their is enough interest. They
take about 2 weeks to receive so we should have them after May 17th.
We'll post more information soon on the topics available.
Field
trips are on the horizon! We are looking into
trips
to these companies:

- We are trying to set up a visit to the IT department
