Happy Throw-Back Thursday!
Throw-Back Thursday is an Instagram phenomenon where people post pics from their past on Thursdays and label it with the hashtag: #tbt
So today, on the eve before Valentine’s Day, I wanted to offer you 2 throw-backs.
THROW BACK #1: A VALENTINE CARD
When I first started the outreach position at the ACTU in 2007, I noticed an absence of materials, advertising or appeals around an HIV cure.
It struck me as curious that hardly anyone mentioned the word, like we all had given up on that idea.
Seeing a void and a potential niche to get some attention paid to our clinic, I started crafting cure messages in support of research, hoping to rekindle an interest in our work.
This one I mailed out as a Valentine’s Day card
