Hi again – I wanted to remind you all that next week we will be looking at new clues into one of the big questions in HIV research: viral persistence....
Invitation to participate in a Webinar discussing the NIH Areas of HIV Cure Research RFI
The NIH invites your participation in a webinar to discuss the responses to our recent Request for Information (RFI) on Areas of Research Aimed at a Cure or Lifelong Remission of HIV Infection. The RFI was designed to solicit input on high priority research areas related to HIV latency and persistence as well as the development of strategies for lifelong/sustained remission or eradication of HIV. On December 2, 2013 the President announced an NIH HIV cure initiative. The RFI and this webinar are part of the NIH plan to solicit the input of the research community on the important research topics that would be worthy of support through the NIH HIV cure initiative.
A preliminary agenda is included below as well as webinar registration information.
· Introductory Remarks— Dr. Jack Whitescarver, Director OAR
· Presentation of the RFI Feedback on areas of research emphasis
· Q&A Session
