of various projects conducted at the Center for Clinical and Epidemiologic
Research. These projects include the Wounded Hearts/Ailing Spirits study
of the effects of PTSD on subtle pre-clinical indicators of cardiovascular

Social Development
Research Group
Project
manager. (Location: Northgate area)
The
Survey Research Division (SRD) of the Social Development Research Group
has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time (100% FTE) Project Manager
to conduct data collection activities for the Partners for Our Children
Project (POC). POC has contracted with the SRD to conduct Phase I of
their project, which will evaluate the implementation of the new Solution-Focused
Casework practice model (PM) that the DSHS Children's Administration
plans to roll out statewide over the next couple of years. Phase I of
this project involves in-person baseline interviews with around 750
parents/primary caregivers in families involved with CA services including
voluntary in-home services (case opened to voluntary services within
the last 60 days) and those with children recently placed in out-of-home
care (children placed within the past 90 days). Caregiver surveys will
gather information that can be used to assess whether families
experiences with CA services change as a result of the implementation
of the PM. Note that the parents/caregivers we seek to interview are
those the child was living with at the time of CA intervention, not
foster care providers. Baseline surveys will be conducted with a sample
of caregivers across the state between June and August 2008. The project
will be evaluated after Phase I and is contingent upon funding. (Phase
II of this project would involve a second round of surveys to be conducted
between January 2009 and July 2010.)
