Dr. Josh
Ginzler is a Research Scientist at the Alcohol and Drug
Abuse Institute. He is the recipient of a Mentored Research Scientist
Development Award from NIDA, for which he will obtain advanced training
in research methods and quantitative techniques, and conduct an study
of substance abuse disorders and suicide, particularly in high-risk
popluations of homeless adolescents. Before receiving the NIDA award,
he was Research Coordinator on STARRS, a NIDA-funded research project
under the direction of Principal Investigator Peggy Peterson, PhD. He
received his doctorate in developmental psychology from Bowling Green
University.

Projects:
- Substance Use and Suicide in Street Youth.
This study will examine variables that potentially lead to substance abuse or suicidality in homeless adolescents, and will examine whether drug involvement can be described in the same manner for homeless teens as it can for teens in high school. more...
