Asotin County, Washington
Asotin County, a land of wheat fields, highland pastures and forested mountains, is located in the southeastern corner of Washington. The name "Asotin" is a Nez Pierce Indian word meaning "Eel Creek." the county was created by act of the Washington Territorial Legislature on October 27, 1883.
