Clark County, Washington
Clark County, with its lower Columbia River bottom and benchlands, and forested Cascade foothills, is located on the border of southwestern Washington. The county was named after the U.S. Army Officer, Captain William Clark, whose expedition descended the Columbia River in November 1805. The area was organized into Clark County by the Oregon Territorial government in 1850.
