Ferry County, Washington
Ferry County, land of Okanogan highlands and valleys, borders Canada in the northeastern region of Washington. The county was created by the Washington Legislature on February 21, 1899. The legislative act named the new county in honor of Elisha P. Ferry, the first Governor of the State of Washington.
