Homeless
Youth
(Country Doctor)
Free
medical services for high risk street youth are provided by
Adolescent Clinic physicians and trainees at Country Doctor
Clinic. Services are walk in on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Our mission is to provide for the medical needs of street involved
youth between the ages of 12 and 24. The clinic provides medical
care, lab tests and prescription and over-the-counter medications,
if indicated and available, at no cost to the youth. Shelter
referrals, including medical respite, are made if indicated
and available. Clinic staff are also able to make and support
appropriate referrals for mental health care, drug treatment,
meals, clothing, alternative drop-in school as well as healthy
social and recreational choices. Bus tokens are provided after
a visit if needed.
