CoCA, Seattle\u2019s Center on Contemporary Art, has proudly served the Pacific Northwest as a catalyst and forum for contemporary art for 37 years. \u00a0Our nonprofit gallery is in Pioneer Square in the vibrant and historic Tashiro Kaplan building. <\/span><\/div>\n

Curatorial Internship\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We are seeking a new Intern in support of our Curatorial operations. \u00a0Internship length is no less than 12 months. Time commitment is 10-12 hours per week + 3 gallery docent shifts each month.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Our <\/span>Curatorial Interns<\/span> work closely with CoCA curators, guest curators\/jurors and artists. \u00a0They assist with planning, installation, and management of exhibitions. Curatorial Interns must be available to participate in monthly evening planning meetings in addition to assisting with exhibitions. <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

CoCA\u2019s Curatorial Interns learn new skills in a supportive, dynamic, and diverse environment. \u00a0They work alongside our Executive Director\/Artistic Director and our Curatorial team. Our Curatorial Interns meet amazing local artists, curators, and art lovers.<\/span><\/div>\n

The ideal CoCA Curatorial Intern is vey organized with some art handling, art\u00a0exhibition or event planning experience. \u00a0We seek Interns who are <\/span>accountable, inclusive, passionate about the art world, and invested in learning great communication. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Although this is an uncompensated role, school credit is available. <\/span><\/p>\n

Gallery Management Intern<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are seeking an Intern for an exciting role in support of our gallery operations.<\/p>\n

Our Gallery Management Intern will learn the art of gallery management working alongside our Executive Director and Artistic Director, Nichole DeMent. \u00a0Internship length is no less than 12 months. \u00a0Time commitment is 10-12 hours per week.<\/p>\n

We teach hands-on gallery management, volunteer training, gallery docent work, and admin\/computer skills. \u00a0Our Gallery Intern will meet amazing local artists, and have the opportunity to work with our other CoCA Volunteers, Interns, Staff, and Board of Directors members.<\/p>\n
