The position will be a commitment of 10-15 hours a week at 16.25\/hr. Students from Design\/Art\/Communication backgrounds are encouraged to apply.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Meany Center Design Intern will assist in creating dynamic designs (posters, video, motion, web\/social graphics) for various artist\u2019s performances and the Meany Center brand. The intern will also help manage website content, and files (photography\/digital assets and print material archive) and assist with hanging signage, distributing marketing materials across campus while learning and working within our project management system, Basecamp.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)<\/div>\n<div>Ability to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint<\/div>\n<div>Collecting and organizing artist visual assets<\/div>\n<div>Knowledge of designing for social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)<\/div>\n<div>Manage project to-dos in project management software<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Bonus Skills:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Knowledge of Adobe After Effect and Premiere Pro<\/div>\n<div>Illustration<\/div>\n<div>Interest in Photography<\/div>\n<div>Interest in the Performing Arts<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Minimum availability of 10 hours per week<\/div>\n<div>Sophomore or Junior in Design\/Art\/Communication major<\/div>\n<div>Demonstrated design for print &amp; web skills<\/div>\n<div>Ability to communicate professionally and clearly<\/div>\n<div>Staying up-to-date with design trends<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Educational Benefits:\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>This role will provide hands-on experience to gain knowledge of how creative and collaborative teams work to execute design needs in a fast-paced environment. In addition, it will increase design software skills, knowledge of design history and trends while working within brand guidelines.
