With a newly launched strategic plan embracing and enacting the values of openness, transparency, responsiveness, and forward-thinking, we are focused on what&#8217;s next for our organization and artists in Washington State. What does the future mean to you? What\u2019s the future of our local arts identity? In your personal practice, what&#8217;s coming next?<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Artist Trust invites visual and jewelry artists to submit up to three works to be considered for inclusion in the auction. Inspiration from our theme in choosing works to submit is encouraged, but not required.<\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div>The Artist Trust Benefit Art Auction audience is comprised of professionals from respected non-profit, government, and corporate entities, new and seasoned art collectors, emerging and established artists, and cultural philanthropists. Our aim is to present your best work.<\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Artwork will be juried on the following criteria:<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 Quality, originality, and currency of work<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 Audience appeal and salability<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 Size for ease of transport and installation<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 $500 to $4,500 retail value<\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Artists are welcome to submit works outside these parameters &#8211; exceptions to be made on a case-by-case basis. A jury of accomplished collectors, gallerists, and curators will choose works. Recent jurors include: Tim Detweiler, Paula Stokes, Marita Dingus, Edie Adams, Stefano Catalani, Bryan Ohno, Sarah Traver, Chris Weber, Cathy Casteel, Miriam Works, Phen Huang, Francine Seders, and many more.\u00a0Jury will be announced September 30.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>BENEFITS FOR DONATING ARTISTS<\/h3>\n<div>\u00b7 Visibility of artwork, bio, and website to the auction\u00a0jury and\u00a0audience, plus\u00a0social media and email\u00a0promotion for selected works<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 One free artist ticket to attend the auction ($250 value includes seated dinner and\u00a0all-night drinks)\u00a0\u2013OR\u2013 20% commission on sold art and $50 artist ticket<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 One $100 guest ticket ($250 value)<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 Auction orientation and networking workshop and happy hour with Artist Trust staff<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 A one-year Artist Trust membership ($45 value), which provides savings on Artist Trust business practice programs and discounts at regional arts businesses and museums<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 Infinite gratitude from Artist Trust\u2019s staff and board and the thousands of artists we serve each year<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>TIMELINE<\/h3>\n<div>\u00b7 October 17, 2016 | Submission deadline<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 November 1, 2016 | Jury<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 November 7, 2016 | Selection notifications<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 January 27, 2017 | Drop-off and RSVP\u00a0deadline<\/div>\n<div>\u00b7 February 8, 2017 | Workshop and happy hour<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u00b7 February 25, 2017 | Auction<\/p>\n<h3>ABOUT ARTIST TRUST<\/h3>\n<div>Artist Trust has invested over $10 million in Washington State artists since its founding in 1986, through grant programs and direct support.
