NJP secures justice for people in or near poverty through high quality legal advocacy that promotes the long-term well-being of low-income individuals, families and communities through legal representation, community partnerships, education and other advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>NJP is adding a new position that will enhance NJP\u2019s digital media presence and expand our engagement with public including clients, partners, and donors. NJP is hiring a Social Media Specialist.<\/p>\n<p>This position will provide a central point of contact for coordinated and branded social media content and posting across all departments and field offices of NJP. The Social Media Specialist will report to the Director of Development and be part of the resource development team. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, standard business hours. The preferred location for this position is in our Seattle Office, but other field office locations will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>JOB DUTIES:<\/p>\n<p>As the primary resource for NJP\u2019s social media initiatives, responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Lead overall digital marketing to raise awareness about NJP\u2019s work to the public<br \/>\nCoordinate with the Legal Media Team and other units and field offices to develop, curate and deploy content<br \/>\nSupport online fundraising campaigns and communications<br \/>\nImplement, test, and update NJP\u2019s social media protocols<br \/>\nMaintain strict confidentiality with client information and use utmost discretion with sensitive information.<br \/>\nCurate, create, design, and\/or edit content for social media, which can include:<br \/>\nLegal aid education and community engagement<br \/>\nImpact stories: clients, staff, board, community<br \/>\nProgram info and activities: legal clinics, events, resources, etc.<br \/>\nAdvocacy highlights and media coverage<br \/>\nField office highlights<br \/>\nDonor and partner recognition<br \/>\nOther relevant content<br \/>\nEnsure consistent, coordinated, and timely posting on:<\/p>\n<p>Website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nwjustice.org\">nwjustice.org<\/a><br \/>\nFacebook (established)<br \/>\nInstagram (new)<br \/>\nOther appropriate social media outlets<br \/>\nMonitor and direct inquiries and messages from social media to the appropriate staff including:<\/p>\n<p>Requests for legal help<br \/>\nCommunication from current clients<br \/>\nClient\/community complaints<br \/>\nMedia requests<br \/>\nCommunity organizations<\/p>\n<p>NJP has an organizational commitment to fight racism and to incorporate equity and inclusion in both the work we do and work environment we create. All staff are expected to uphold this commitment and approach their role with a desire to learn and grow in this area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Passion for mission driven work and demonstrated commitment to social justice and race equity<br \/>\nTwo or more years of digital marketing, social media content management, communications, editing, or similar experience in a fast-paced environment<br \/>\nExperience with multi-media digital content creation across multiple platforms<br \/>\nSkills in graphic design, videography, video editing, or similar<br \/>\nExperience supporting live social media events<br \/>\nTrack record of setting, measuring, and reporting on data analytics<br \/>\nDemonstrated success growing online engagement to meet target goals<br \/>\nOrganized and detail oriented, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously<br \/>\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills electronically, telephonically, and face to face<br \/>\nAbility to engage attorneys as well as to translate attorney language to appeal to the public<br \/>\nInnovative, resourceful, and collaborative interaction with community members and colleagues<br \/>\nProficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and cloud-based digital marketing and social media tools<\/p>\n<p>Compensation: NJP Social Media Specialist Salary Scale based on years of experience starting at $52,890 to $84,143 annually. This is a non-exempt position. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes 100% paid employee health premiums and significant premium shares for family health premiums, as well as generous time off.<\/p>\n<p>Hours of work: NJP\u2019s typical client office hours are 9:00 \u2013 5:00, Monday through Friday.<\/p>\n<p>To Apply: Submit a letter of interest and current resume to Human Resources at <a href=\"mailto:resume@nwjustice.org\">resume@nwjustice.org<\/a>.
