The facility maintains a digital image database for teaching and is a digital imaging center for new image orders from faculty and inhouse archival material.<\/p>\n<p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n<p>Scan 35mm slides; perform copystand photography; edit digital images using Photoshop; track metadata and processes in Filemaker Pro databases; process images for database in preparation for uploading to servers; assist students and faculty with image and presentation needs; related tasks and projects as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required<\/strong>: demonstrated extreme attention to detail; competency with computers and an interest in digital imaging; a willingness and ability to learn new software and\/or equipment; capability to balance detailed processes while providing service to students and faculty; ability to follow instructions closely and consistently; dedication to maintaining a regular weekly schedule. <strong>Desired<\/strong>: comfort with the Mac OS; basic knowledge of Photoshop and FileMaker Pro; strong\u00a0verbal and written communication skills.<\/p>\n<p>EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS:<\/p>\n<p>Exposure to art and art history; gain computer, digital imaging, and digital asset management skills that can be applied in future work.<\/p>\n<p>HOW TO APPLY:<\/p>\n<p>Email brief statement of interest, resume, names of two references, and times available for work.<\/p>\n<p>If Work Study, the job number is ARTS10.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Digital Imaging Assistant 1 The Department of Visual Services in the School of Art + Art History + Design has a paid opportunity for a student interested in working with digital image collections.
