Urban ArtWorks is looking for someone who would be passionate about fostering our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanartworks.org\/about?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=idealist\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">values<\/a>\u00a0of connection, anti-racism, expression, belonging, and integrity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope of Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our youth and community programs are growing, and we are looking for a creative and passionate Program Manager who thrives on wearing multiple hats to join our small but mighty team! This is a new full-time position, and an opportunity to directly and deeply impact the growth of the organization. The Program Manager is the primary point of contact for daily work with Teaching Artists, youth apprentices, community participants, schools, and program partner organizations. This person will work on the development, implementation, supervision and evaluation of our youth and community-based programs. The Program Manager will be committed to youth development and the belief that all people should be valued for their unique life experience. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Actively recruiting, training, supervising, and managing a diverse team of Teaching Artists to support youth and community-based programs.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Developing customized programs for youth and community engagement<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Creating culturally responsive arts-based curricula<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Cultivating community partner engagement including: outreach to existing and potential partners to maintain and deepen relationships, presentations to partners to increase awareness of programming, regular communications with partner staff, and overseeing the completion of partners\u2019 required documents such as timesheets and evaluations<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Completion and maintenance of teaching artist and program partner contracts<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Developing participant communication strategies including: recruiting new youth participants, electronic, in-person, and phone communications, and building upon current participant handbook<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Documenting and archiving program images, stories, and written materials for social media, grants, and public communications<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assisting with the development of informational materials for public distribution on Urban ArtWorks\u2019 website, newsletter, and in print.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Working with ED to enhance program evaluation tools to measure impact, inform, and improve future programs<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Recruiting, training, and managing program volunteers<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support organizational fundraising goals including assistance with grant writing, fundraising events, and donor communication.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Additional tasks as necessary inclusive of: participating in all-staff and program-staff meetings, collaborating on day-of tasks for youth program and community participation related events, maintaining\/organizing youth program supplies and studio space, supporting community events, cultivating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for participants, teaching artists, community partners, and programmatic volunteers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Competitive candidates will possess:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A belief system aligned with Urban ArtWorks\u2019 values, vision, and mission<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A commitment to helping Urban ArtWorks become an anti-racist organization<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a03+ years supervisory experience in Youth Development, Education, Arts Administration, Non-Profit Management or other fields closely related.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Experience working for a community-based arts or youth development organization preferred<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Demonstrated experience hiring, training, supervising and leading a team<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Experience developing arts-based curricula<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Experience nurturing community-based partnerships<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of Seattle\u2019s public art scene<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent organizational, administrative, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple programs simultaneously<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly with partners, supporters, and the media<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent listening skills<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to think creatively and strategically, strong analytical and problem-solving skills<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong computer skills in standard software Word, Excel, PowerPoint- Creative suite knowledge in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to use a variety of social media tools including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A self-motivated work ethic and an interest in learning and growing within the position and the organization<\/p>\n<p>What We Offer<\/p>\n<p>Annual salary range $55,000 &#8211; $65,000, 100% health insurance, 10 days paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, Sick and Safe leave, flexible, fun, and rewarding work environment.<\/p>\n<p>Urban ArtWorks is an equal opportunity employer.
