Some of your duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the Sr. Manager, Art Program and Program Coordinator to become familiar with the artworks that the Port has and understand the overarching Port Art Program and its mission and purpose within the Port of Seattle.<\/li>\n<li>A major project will be helping coordinate the public art program and working with IT and our web content controllers on reformatting the SEA Public Art website.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Art Technician\/Handler on actual installation of exhibits.\u202f\u00a0This will also involve working with and getting input from several organizations within the Port, such as but not limited to External Relations, Commission Office, Maintenance, and Operations.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare documents such as presentations to selection panels, the public arts and culture board, requests for proposals, budget requests, and justifications for the works as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Collect, preserve, and prepare exhibit records to allow easy access to information on exhibits. \u202fWe have records going back 40 years of doing exhibits at the Airport and, if time permits, would prepare a report on how these records should be maintained.\u202f\u00a0Some of these records are not in digital form and it would be beneficial to have a digital representation of past exhibits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"requisitionDescriptionInterface.ID1945.row1\" class=\"contentlinepanel\" title=\"\">\n<div id=\"requisitionDescriptionInterface.ID1961.row1\" class=\"inlinepanel\" title=\"\"><span class=\"subtitle\">Who you are:<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"inline\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An Undergraduate Student\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013\u202fYou must be\u202fcurrently enrolled\u202fin an undergrad degree program,\u202for\u202fa\u202frecent graduate (&lt; 1 year ago)\u202fin a degree or certificate program such as Studio Art, Art History, Museology, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Committed to Equity\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 You will apply equity and exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work. \u202fAt the Port of Seattle, equity is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation for all Port employees.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Effective Communicator\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 You possess effective communication and writing skills, as well as strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technology\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 You are proficient with the MS Office suite of applications including PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint as well as proficiency with Photoshop and Adobe programs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organized<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 You must have strong organizational and time-management skills, along with excellent technical writing skills to clearly capture identified requirements. You\u2019re able to work on several projects at one time, gather technical and non-technical information from many sources with many levels of complexity and condense into requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaborator<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 You&#8217;re able to comfortably and collaboratively work with a diverse group of people at all organizational levels and have strong people\/team skills.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analysis \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0You\u2019re able to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems, translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Proactive<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 You&#8217;re able to establish long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them, as well as take initiative and be responsible for getting work done with limited supervision.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Desired<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 We hope you have knowledge of artist recordkeeping concepts and requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"requisitionDescriptionInterface.ID1995.row1\" class=\"contentlinepanel\" title=\"\">\n<p><span id=\"requisitionDescriptionInterface.ID2001.row1\" class=\"subtitle\" title=\"\">What else you need to know<\/span><span id=\"requisitionDescriptionInterface.ID2018.row1\" class=\"subtitle\" title=\"\">:<\/span><span class=\"inline\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Schedule \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0This is a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) position during the school year with a possible extension to a full-time (40 hours per week) position in the summer.\u202f\u00a0Normal work hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Work Environment\u202f\u2013<\/strong>\u202fThis is a hybrid work environment with flexibility to allow for in-office and teleworking.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limited Duration \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>This is a limited duration position and is expected to last no longer than one year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Safety Requirements \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Security Requirements \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Washington State Residency Requirement\u202f<\/strong><strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. \u202fIf a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.<\/li>\n<li><strong>COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement\u202f\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Effective, November 15, 2021, the Port of Seattle will require that at the time of hire, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be able to provide proof of their full COVID-19 vaccination status, as part of the hiring process. This is a condition of employment for all positions at the Port of Seattle.
