Interns work\u00a010 hours\/week\u00a0with community-based organizations during\u00a0winter and spring quarters. Additionally, they participate in\u00a0weekly cohort meetings\u00a0led by\u00a0graduate student mentors.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Why participate in\u00a0UCBI:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Take your learning off campus and (re)connect with communities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dive into a topic or issue you\u2019re passionate about and explore career opportunities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Learn more about power, privilege, identity and systems of oppression through community engagement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Receive mentorship and coaching from\u00a0UCBI\u00a0mentors and nonprofit\/public sector leaders<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Engage in professional development opportunities and build your network with your cohort and host organization<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Earn a stipend ($2250\/quarter) for your work<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Earn academic credit toward leadership minor through LEAD298 in winter and spring<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b>Applications open thru Wednesday, October 19.\u00a0<\/b>Students are\u00a0strongly encouraged\u00a0to attend an info session before submitting an\u00a0application.
