We welcome research informed by any and all theories and methodologies and encourage interdisciplinary exploration. Submissions may include a version or part of an undergraduate thesis, an exceptional course paper, or independent research.<\/p>\n<p>Please provide a title and abstract of no more than 300 words to \u00a0Submissions should also include the submitter\u2019s name, major, academic year, institutional affiliation, and email. Students will be notified by the end of February 2023.<\/p>\n<p>We welcome papers focusing on any topic or scholarly approach having to do with the study of visual and material culture. The symposium\u2019s goal is to allow students to present their past or present work \u2013 whether a research paper, an independent study, or an honors thesis \u2013 to an international and highly supportive audience. Each talk will be ten minutes in length followed by a brief question and answer session. Abstracts should be 300 words or less and should also include the student\u2019s name, major, academic year, institutional affiliation, and email. We request that abstracts be sent to <a role=\"link\" href=\"mailto:heuerk@newpaltz.edu\">Keely Heuer, Professor Liaison of the SUNY New Paltz Art History Association at heuerk@newpaltz.edu<\/a>. A bibliography is not necessary. Students will be notified by the end of February.
