Our program is designed to develop and equip emerging leaders, interested in furthering their careers, in a variety of fields including music programming, audio production, and nonprofit capacity building.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Our interns learn skills in business communication, project management, problem-solving, audio technology, database management and more. These skills and experiences offer our interns a unique ground-level glimpse of the day-to-day life of a community-supported arts organization, while offering relationship building and networking opportunities with individuals throughout the music industry.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/recruiting.paylocity.com\/Recruiting\/Jobs\/All\/a5fc1657-6a0e-4279-b56f-f2c46121f3f5\/Friends-of-KEXP\" data-pjax-state=\"\"><strong>2023 Internship Applications are open!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The following positions are available:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li><u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/recruiting.paylocity.com\/Recruiting\/Jobs\/Details\/1486348\" data-pjax-state=\"\">Audio Production Intern<\/a><\/strong><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/recruiting.paylocity.com\/Recruiting\/Jobs\/Details\/1486327\" data-pjax-state=\"\">Media Archives Intern<\/a><\/strong><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/recruiting.paylocity.com\/Recruiting\/Jobs\/Details\/1486366\" data-pjax-state=\"\">Facilities &amp; Guest Services Intern<\/a><\/strong><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/recruiting.paylocity.com\/Recruiting\/Jobs\/Details\/1486359\" data-pjax-state=\"\">Podcast &amp; Licensing Intern<\/a><\/strong><\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Applications close\u00a0<u>Sunday, February 19<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Applications are accepted only via the application portal. Applications, resumes, cover letters, and letters of recommendation\u00a0<u><strong>are not accepted via email.<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">What to expect from a KEXP internship?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>KEXP internships are\u00a0<strong>6-months long<\/strong>\u00a0and occur during the period of April &#8211; November.\u00a0Interns must have availability of\u00a0<strong>15 hours per week\u00a0<\/strong>during regular business hours (9am-6pm, Monday-Friday).<\/li>\n<li>All interns are paid<strong>\u00a0$22\/hr.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Interns must have legal authorization to work in the United States. We depend on interns to determine their legal right to work in the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Interns must live in the Seattle area.<\/li>\n<li>Interns must be at least 18 years old.<\/li>\n<li>Interns do not need to be currently enrolled in school or be recent graduates.<\/li>\n<li>Depending on the state of COVID-19, the internship experience may be remote, in-person or a hybrid of the two.\u00a0<strong>Currently, all internships are hybrid and require an on-site presence at KEXP&#8217;s office in Seattle.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Interns must be vaccinated against COVID-19 before entering the KEXP office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">What are we looking for?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We look for diverse individuals who are motivated team players, excellent communicators, and most importantly are passionate about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kexp.org\/about\" data-pjax-state=\"\">KEXP\u2019s mission<\/a>\u00a0and have a fanatical love of music.
