The project is based around UW&#8217;s campus and monitors bird\u00a0collisions with\u00a0buildings in order to support our long term goal of finding design based solutions and identifying which species in our area are most vulnerable to collisions.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To carry out this research our project needs student volunteers to walk collision monitoring\u00a0routes for one 90-minute shift a week.\u00a0Volunteering with us is a great way for students to<i>\u00a0<\/i>practice bird identification and engage with urban\u00a0wildlife, while also gaining experience in a research setting<b>.<\/b>\u00a0Next quarter<i>\u00a0<\/i>we will also be offering a class, ARCH 499:\u00a0<i>Conservation Design \u2013 Preventing Bird Building Collisions (<\/i>Meeting Time:<i>\u00a0<\/i>Wednesdays 6:30 &#8211; 8 PM) for students interested in learning\u00a0more about preventing bird collisions, sustainable architecture, and urban conservation efforts.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To help us spread the\u00a0word about these opportunities, we were hoping you could share the attached\u00a0flyer with your students?
