Gage offers instruction in principles of drawing, painting, and sculpting, and is dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels realize themselves as artists in contemporary society.<\/p>\n<p>WHO WE ARE:<\/p>\n<p>The Gage staff is the most important asset in creating this rich environment for learning and experiencing art. Gage currently has locations in the north end of Capitol Hill in Seattle and in Georgetown. Founded more than three decades ago, Gage touches more than 8,000 arts-lovers every year through youth and adult classes, workshops, retreats, tours, and various community events \u2013 both in-person and online.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Registrar Duties<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interface with the public and Gage students to assist with program registration, including answering questions via phone and email and providing technical support for online registration as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Greet students and visitors at the front desk and responds to questions<\/li>\n<li>Respond to emails, voicemails and reply to all general Customer Service requests and inquiries<\/li>\n<li>Monitor class schedule changes or cancellations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure complete and accurate student records. Provide program enrollment reports to other\u00a0departments as requested<\/li>\n<li>Manage Stand-by Scholarship program. Review scholarship recipients class\/workshop requests\u00a0throughout the year and notifies students on class availabilityCustomer Service &amp; Communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with all Gage departments (Marketing, Facilities, Development, etc.), to receive and provide information on programs, events, building updates, requests, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate pertinent information on programs, events, important updates, etc. to students, instructors, and the public.<\/li>\n<li>Email welcome\/reminder messages to all students prior to class<\/li>\n<li>Gather information and creates the Gage Student Newsletter each month<\/li>\n<li>Give tours to prospective students on requestOffice Coordination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains and order office supplies<\/li>\n<li>Manage incoming and outgoing mail, postage, the copier\/printer, and the general office\u00a0appearance\/cleanliness\n<p>OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay up to date on all Gage programs, events and policies<\/li>\n<li>Process student\/instructor print\/copy requests<\/li>\n<li>Manage library book check-out process<\/li>\n<li>Manage Gage bulletin boards<\/li>\n<li>Assist in reviewing Gage quarterly online class\/workshop listings for errors<\/li>\n<li>Support Gage events such as the Gala, Drawing Jam, Best of Gage and other events as\u00a0needed<\/li>\n<li>Assists other departments as time and workload allow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 3\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>\u2022 Performs other duties as requested<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in an administrative, receptionist, or customer service position<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in art, art history, arts education or related field or equivalent\u00a0experience (including studio art) &#8211; preferred<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of art and\/or art making processes &#8211; preferred<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with registration data systems &#8211; preferred\n<p>DESIRED PERSONAL QUALITIES<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Committed and enthusiastic about the Gage mission and programs<\/li>\n<li>Welcoming and customer-service oriented<\/li>\n<li>Possess strong communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized and detail-oriented<\/li>\n<li>Friendly, with strong skills in building relationships with staff, instructors and models<\/li>\n<li>Highly resourceful &amp; flexible, energetic and focused<\/li>\n<li>Adept at planning, prioritizing, multi-tasking and following through<\/li>\n<li>Good team player with positive collaborative spirit<\/li>\n<li>Straightforward, self-motivated and diplomaticGAGE\u2019S COMMITMENT TO EQUITABLE HIRING PRACTICESAt Gage, we embrace our team\u2019s diverse experiences and perspectives, and we strive to be reflective of the community we serve.
