Seattle Art Museum is now accepting applications for a Frances Blakemore & Griffith Way Internship<\/a> during the Winter 2023 academic quarter. This internship will focus primarily on exhibit rotations at Seattle Asian Art Museum and on research for a recent bequest of Japanese and Korean artworks.<\/p>\n

The Frances Blakemore & Griffith Way Internship program offers an outstanding opportunity for students of Asian art, culture, and history to work at a top ranked Asian art museum. Under the mentorship of SAM\u2019s Asian art curators, interns will gain intimate knowledge about the day-to-day responsibilities of a curator, enhance their knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean art, and gain professional research experience in an area directly related to their studies.<\/p>\n

Graduate students in East Asian Studies and Art History are preferred, though we will also consider students in other degree programs who have a strong, demonstrated interest in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean Studies.<\/p>\n
