There are a variety of Art classes for students of age group 2-4. Class objectives are to explore new forms of art, find an appreciation for art, and engage in self-expression in a safe and welcoming environment.<\/p>\n<p><b>Location: Northgate Community Center<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b> Scheduled available classes:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Tuesdays or Thursdays<\/p>\n<p>Time: 11am 12:30pm or 4:30pm to 6pm<\/p>\n<p>Part time<\/p>\n<p><b>Start Date:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>January 6, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b> Pay Rate<\/b>: Starting at $24.50\/hour<br \/>\nFull Pay Range: $24.50-26.50\/hr (employee may earn up to $26.50\/hr with additional years in the role)<\/p>\n<p><b> Programming Requirements <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate art lessons and activities for each art class. Instructors are expected to plan class curriculum for Students of Age Group 2-4 years.<\/li>\n<li>Plan, lead, and implement course appropriate activities for each art class, focusing on creative exploration, technique development, and art appreciation.<\/li>\n<li>Instructors are expected to set up and clean up the space before and after each weekly lesson.<\/li>\n<li>Generate a supply list for the program.<\/li>\n<li>Complete required administrative reports, such as attendance logs and incident reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b> Relationship Building <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain positive relationships with families, staff, and the general public.<\/li>\n<li>Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with recreation coordinator and other on-site staff to ensure safety of all participants.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with recreation coordinator to manage behavioral concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with parents, coworkers, and Seattle Parks and Recreation partners in a professional and courteous manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b> Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with kids and adults.<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in art (painting\/drawing\/mixed media).<\/li>\n<li>Must pass a WSP criminal background check.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indeed.com\/viewjob?jk=35792bfe21cb8c0c&amp;tk=1i8ftdl3vjo2u86b&amp;from=serp&amp;vjs=3\">Apply on Indeed<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kids Art Instructor at Northgate Community Center will lead participants through a variety of artistic mediums including drawing, watercolor, acrylic paint, and more.
