Bingham I.V. Boards is seeking a University of Washington student to 3D scan one of each size of their armboards pictured above (sans foam covering), then convert the scans to CAD files. The CAD drawings will then need some modifications made to make them ready to be used to create new injection molding tooling for our next iteration of this 52-year-old product.<\/p>\n
This is a one-time commissionable<\/strong> gig that a student can add to their portfolio of projects for selling themselves to future employers or clients.\u00a0 The commission is negotiable and will be discussed with interested parties.<\/p>\n Responsibilities<\/strong> Qualifications<\/strong> Details<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Receive samples of the products
\n\u2022 3D scan the products
\n\u2022 Produce CAD drawings from the scans
\n\u2022 Modify the scans as directed by Bingham I.V. Boards\u2019 owner
\n\u2022 Digitally deliver the scan and CAD files to Bingham I.V. Boards.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Current UW student with interest\/experience in 3D scanning and CAD creation
\n\u2022 Familiarity with current 3D scanning and CAD software
\n\u2022 Reliable, organized, and able to work independently on this project
\n\u2022 Must be able to complete the project within 3 weeks of acceptance of the project<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Two samples of each size will be sent to the student via FedEx.
\n\u2022 BIVB will review the completed work for acceptability and furnish payment within 1 week
\n\u2022 Compensation will be negotiated prior to selecting a student for the project<\/p>\n
