Pottery Instructor (Hiawatha Community Center)<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have experience in Pottery instruction, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as\u00a0Pottery Instructor<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0Hiawatha Community Center (for\u00a0Alki Bathhouse).<\/strong>\u00a0This is a year-round part-time role.<\/p>\n

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. The\u00a0Pottery Instructor<\/strong>\u00a0must be able to plan age-appropriate activities for 16+ year-old students. Experience in teaching pottery specifically is required. Must have enough experience on a pottery wheel to be able to provide demonstrations and work with students one-on-one for wheel thrown pieces. Other tasks include loading, firing, and unloading the kiln. environment.<\/p>\n

  • Complete experience with pottery as described above<\/li>\n
  • Experience working with adults<\/li>\n
  • Ability to manage, create and lead activities<\/li>\n
  • Experience managing a group of participants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Pottery Instructor\u00a0<\/strong>requirements:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Must be 18 years of age or older<\/li>\n
    • Must have demonstrated working experience working with families, community members and partners to foster positive relationships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Pay:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Starting pay: $26.50- $28.50\/hr.<\/li>\n
      • Full Pay Range: $26.50 – $36.50\/hour\u00a0(employee may earn up to $44.50\/hr with continued employment)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
