Please direct any questions or comments to catalysthelp@u.washington.edu.
Computing Workshops
Over 50 free computing workshops are offered every quarter from UW Catalyst. All current UW students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend. The Summer Quarter schedule and workshop descriptions are available online. Faculty: Catalyst can also teach customized workshops to your classes.
Help Center
Can’t make it to a workshop? Need help now? Check out the handy How-To Guides in Catalyst’s online Help Center. You’ll find step-by-step instructions for over 50 different computing topics including software programs from Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, as well as the Catalyst Web Tools.
Web Tools
Using the Catalyst Web Tools, you can create a discussion board with GoPost, a survey in WebQ, and a Web site using SimpleSite; most tools allow people from outside the UW to participate. The newest Web Tool from Catalyst, Collect It, enables you to collect files and assignments online.
Coming July 9th, an enhanced version of ShareSpaces, Catalyst's file sharing and collaboration tool, will be available to all faculty, staff, and students.
Catalyst User Experience (CUE)
Do you want to have a voice in what features are included in the Catalyst Web Tools? Then join the Catalyst User Experience (CUE) Team. This team was created to give you the opportunity to help design Web tools that better meet your needs. Students are welcome to join.
Learning Spaces
Our learning spaces feature powerful computer workstations, useful software packages, and innovative technology studios. Visit the Digital Presentation Studio, the Digital Audio Workstation and the Collaboration Studio, all in Odegaard Library.
