Tutor for the American Ethnic Studies, CHID, and Women Studies Writing Center!

We are seeking students majoring in AES to serve as peer tutors in the departments' Writing Center.

Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent academic writing skills and be able to communicate effectively with others about writing. Students who also enjoy working independently and have a strong sense of interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary work are encouraged to apply.

As well as earning money on campus with a flexible schedule, tutors receive valuable experience and training. Work hours will be by negotiation – long hours of availability are not necessary. Work will consist of providing one-on-one consultations to undergraduate students about any type of written assignment given in the interdisciplinary subjects listed above.

1. A cover letter describing your interest in and experience for this position (1500-word maximum)
2. A copy of an essay written for a course in your major.
