Jiedson “Jed” Domigpe is a lecturer of Filipino at UW-Seattle’s American Ethnic Studies. He received his BA in Communication from University of Santo Tomas in March 2000 and currently he’s working on his MA in TESOL at Seattle Pacific University.

Publications

Jiedson is presently spearheading the first Filipino newsletter in the campus which will feature students' writings in both Filipino and English contributed by students taking Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Filipino at the university.

This newsletter will include articles on Filipino culture and selected Filipino poetry and literature, politics, tourism, and opportunities to study in the Philippines. It will also include information about on-campus activities, and student-run organizations. The objective of this newsletter is to create a medium for the discussion of issues relevant to the Filipino culture and shared Filipino heritage, which will create a greater sense of community among Filipinos and Filipino-Americans around the UW campus. Hopefully, this will also help generate and increase interest in Filipino scholarship at UW-Seattle.
