Richard Atienza is lecturer of Tagalog and has over 12 years of progressive experience in language teaching on both Philippine and American settings.
In the past, Richard has lectured Tagalog at the Filipino Community Center of Seattle, Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, and the University of Michigan. He has worked with other Tagalog lecturers from National Resource Centers (Title VI Grants) to develop the Filipino Oral Proficiency Guideline. In 2012, he was accepted as a Global Intercultural Experience for Undergraduates (GIEU) Teaching Fellow at the University of Michigan, which brought students to the Philippines on a cultural and language immersion trip. He currently teaches Tagalog across all levels.
