OUGL 220 - In order to maintain our strong presence in Olympia and in the University Administration, ALUW has hired a new lobbyist for the 1997 legislative session, Tom Bristow. Tom was a member of the Washington State House of Representatives from 1985-1989; director of Legislative and Congressional Affairs, Washington State Department of Health, from 1989-1990; director of Legislative and Community Relations at the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, 1990-1993; director of the Governor's Timber Team, 1993-1994; and presently is owner/operator of Night Heron Communications, a government relations and lobbying business.
