Course Description

Asymptotics for integrals, perturbation and multiple-scale analysis. Singular perturbations: matched asymptotic expansions, boundary layers, shock layers, uniformly valid solutions. Prerequisite: AMATH 567, AMATH 568, AMATH 569, or permission of instructor.
