Short-Term Training Opportunities in PeruIntroduction The University of Washington has developed extensive research and training collaborations with two universities in Peru, the Universidad Peruana Cayetano de Heredia and the Universidad Nacional Major de San Marcos. The collaborating universities have twice offered a two-week intensive short course in Lima, Peru. The first course (June 19-June 30, 2000) was hosted by the Universidad Nacional Major de San Marcos. The second course (May 21-June 2, 2001) was hosted by the Universidad Peruana Cayetano de Heredia. Objectives:
