Summary

This was the second formal meeting of all AMTAS academic and industrial partners. Forty-one persons attended. If you would like contact information for any attendee, please contact Ellen Barker.

The meeting included presentations devoted to:

  • a Center progress report
  • a report from PIs on their research studies, and
  • presentations from industrial partners about future research needs.

Breakout sessions were held during the afternoon. The attendees were split into four groups (Groups A–D) and asked to consider the following three questions:

  1. What basic/applied research studies should be addressed by AMTAS in the future?
  2. What educational/training courses should be developed by AMTAS?
  3. What steps should be taken to ensure long-term growth of AMTAS (new funding/members)

A summary of these recommendations is available HERE.
