Biographical Summary: Dr. Wang won the 2007 Richard J. Bing Award for Young Investigators of ISHR (International Society for Heart Research), for discovery of the superoxide flash. He has been studying the intrinsic triggers/regulators of physiological mPTP opening and subsequent superoxide flash production. His research program seeks to demonstrate how physiological mPTP activity and ROS production impact local signaling.
