The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine develop and collaborate in number of trainging resources available to both UW & non-UW medical profesionals.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is available as Classroom-centered learning sessions for Basic Life Support (BLS), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), ACLS algorithm and megacode practice with manikins, rhythm simulators and monitors/defibrillators. FREE to UWAMC Anesthesia Residents, $100 for UW Faculty & CRNAs
$250 for community anesthesiologists.
In addition, we also offer ACLS training as computer-based learning tools on Compact Disk. FREE to UW Staff & Students, $79 for general public.
Each month Dr. Donald Oxorn presents a challenging Transesophageal Echocardiogram case study in the form of a video/image with accompanying question. Answers are provided on the following month. In addition to the current TEE, archived cases are available for each month begining with November 2001. The case studies are available free of charge.
A 7-module course designed for providers of early care to injured children. The training modules are available free of charge. A certificate of completion is provided to those that complete the course.
