Training in Anesthesiology

Our department offers instruction in the field of anesthesiology for medical students, residents, fellows and faculty. Individuals interested in pursuing any of these career advancements can contact department for the most recent information.

These third and fourth medical school year elective courses provide an introduction to principles of airway management and ventilatory support, use of local anesthetics, techniques of resuscitation, techniques of patient monitoring, fluid therapy, pre- and post-operative patient evaluation and pathology of anesthesia. The skills which will be taught include airway management, venipuncture, lumbar puncture and endotracheal intubation.
