It is strongly recommended that you come for assistance at least 3-4 days before an assignment is due, and bring something in writing--a first draft, a set of ideas, an idea of what approach you want to take etc.
Come to The Writing Center for help with:
- Figuring out assignments/defining a topic
- Getting started with your research
- Creating a work schedule or an outline
- Structuring your paper
- Providing proper references
- Making clear, effective arguments
- Identifying potentially useful examples, bits of data, etc, to support and illustrate your arguments
- Generating a topic and/or research question
- Making your writing clearer, more direct, and more persuasive
