After 14 years, Gas Cylinder leaves lab group

April 29th, 2008 · No Comments

1994-cylinder.jpg    Gas Cylinder 2314, a constant (if silent) companion in the lab since 1994, was discovered alone and empty over in the corner.   Rick said goodbye but it did not reply.  Cylinder 2314 arrived in the lab the year before Rick became an Assistsant Professor, back in the days when he was a PostDoc.

Cylinder 2314 stayed in the lab group as a silent member, providing a steady stream of gas to the ASAP 2010 SA Analyzer.  Upon discovering the empty cylinder, Rick  unceremoniously detached the 2-stage regulator and delivered the cylinder to the loading bay where it awaits departure.  Donations in the name of Gas Cylinder 2314 can be made to the School’s discretionary account.
