DICK HOSKINS PH.D. , M.P.H.

 

Dr. Hoskins is a Senior Epidemiologist and the Washington State Public Health Geographer for the Washington State Department of Health.

He is also on the faculty of the University of Washington's Department of Epidemiology and the School of Medicine's Department of Biomedical Informatics. He has worked as an epidemiologist for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Seattle) and Hoffman-LaRoche Pharma (Switzerland.

Before becoming an epidemiologist he was Assistant Director of the Computer Center at the University of Washington.

He has served as a consultant in Kenya, Singapore, People's Republic of China, and Grenada as well as in Western Europe. His research interests concern the impact of climate warming on public health, and methods of disease surveillance and assessment using GIS technology and spatial statistics.


This project is a joint effort of the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine
and the United States Centers for Disease Control. It is an approved APEC project.
