Who goes to Apex Summer Camp?
A broad spectrum of kids attend Apex Summer Camp. Our program is designed for children ages 6-12 with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD),
attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and their peers and siblings. The program is verbally loaded, such that proficient language skills are required to participate meaningfully.
When is camp?
Camp dates for 2015 are Monday July 6th through Friday August 7th. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm.
How do I apply? What’s the application process?
Apply by submitting a Camper Application by mail, fax, or password protected email. After we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a screening. Screenings for kids with ASD take place at the UW Autism Center. Screenings for kids with ADHD occur at the UW Autism Center or Seattle Children’s PEARL Clinic. Once screening is complete, you will be notified within 2 weeks if your child has been accepted to the program. A $200 deposit is required to hold a space at camp once screening is complete.
How much does the program cost?
Tuition for Apex Summer Camp 2015 is $3200. An early registration discount o $200 will be credited to applications received by March 31, 2015. Scholarship information is available below. There are separate fees for evaluation through the Seattle Children’s PEARL Clinic.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
We encourage families to submit an application to Ben’s Fund, a grant program run by Families for Effective Autism Treatment (www.featwa.org). Scholarships are also available directly from the UW Autism Center Family Support Fund (FSF Application). Please contact our billing office for additional details at 206-543-9930.
