Specialized design studios each year connect students to local and international communities, and give them opportunities to develop highly specialized skills. Groups like CEEDS and AIAS connect people in the department with other academic, cultural and professional worlds. Each year, department publications, Column 5 and Skin, disseminate faculty and student scholarship and design work. And regular exhibitions and lectures infuse new design ideas and visions into the department.
