General information is available for the following departmental degree programs: Buddhist Studies, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and South Asian.

The department also offers a BA Honors program and teaching endorsements in Chinese and Japanese.

 

KOREAN MAJOR NOTICE

Because of the current financial situation at the University of Washington and the cancellation of a faculty search in the area of Korean literature, admission to the major in Korean language has been temporarily suspended.  Students already admitted to the major will be able to complete the major.  Admission to the minor in Korean is unchanged. Please contact the Student Advisor for more information.
