  • Early Indian Buddhism; Gāndhārī Buddhism; Sanskrit language and literature; Narrative in Indian religious traditions.

Current Research Projects

  • Coauthoring a volume with Jason Neelis (University of Florida): Gandhāran Avadānas: British Library Kharosthī Fragments 2, 3, and 12+14, Along with Several Miscellaneous Manuscript Fragments.
  • Investigating Buddhist stories concerning the demise of the Buddha’s teachings.
  • Editing a series of avadānas contained in British Library Kharosthī Fragment 1.
