Who
are we? We
are the UW Geospatial Club, as well as the student chapter of the Puget Sound Region American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) also known as the Imaging and Geospatial Information Society. The club is housed by Dr. Moskal's Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis Laboratory at the University of Washington (UW). UW Geospatial Club membership is free and opened to all UW students, staff and faculty as well as anyone else interested in geospatial activities at UW. The ASPRS memebership is fee based and open to all students in the Puget Sound ASPRS Region, we would encourage you to become members of both so that you qualify for the ASPRS scholarships and conference registration discounts.
Our
Mission UW Geospatial Club's mission is to promote the use of geospatial tools and technologies at UW. The mission
of the ASPRS is to advance knowledge and improve understanding of mapping
sciences and to promote the responsible applications of photogrammetry,
remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and supporting technologies.
Founded
in 1934, ASPRS
is a scientific association serving thousands professionals members around
the world, it also publishes the Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing journal. Our mission is to advance knowledge and improve understanding
