Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment (CLUE)

CLUE is a free late-night, multidisciplinary study center housed in the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs at the University of Washington. Fundamental to CLUE's success are its state-of-the-art location in Mary Gates Hall, convenient evening hours, and the employment of current and recently graduated UW students and graduate students.

Over the next few years, we envision CLUE as the connecting point for the entire undergraduate demographic. We will expand services to students who wish to take courses in academic support so that all students who need such support can receive it. At the same time, we will expand our service both in the course areas we already provide and add new subject areas. Finally, we envision a fully developed "CLUE at a Distance" program, providing podcasts of nightly instruction for students who have difficulty getting to campus in the evenings, expanding e-mail contact for students with tutors, and investigating electronic ways to extend students' participation in learning communities that originated with CLUE.
