Tutor-Mentor Service Learning

What is the value of mentorship? What does it mean to mentor another student? Looking beyond the simple concept of content based tutoring, we will think more broadly about how students learn – and specifically, how one learns to learn. What stands in the way of a student's ability to engage with academic material? Each student we work with will bring in a unique set of skills and knowledge as well as a unique set of factors that have prohibited him or her from being academically successful at the UW.
