The IBM C20 systems have arrived.  Eliot Lim and Steve Jones will
be setting up the evironment.  Donn will build his "msh" interface
on the IBM machines.  System name will be "Franklin".  During the
installation "Atwood" will remain available for testing.


11/28/95

Mark McNair, Donn Cave and Jim DeRoest met to discuss options for the
msh environment.  An evaluation version of msh will be setup on Ozzo
that includes fmail, vacation and password management buttons.  FTP
will used to manage users folders.  Donn will also explore using a
Web interface for the msh routines.

An alternative to user DNS was discussed that would allow users to 
move themselves between desktop servers via a button from the msh
interface.  This would move the user directory to the least loaded
system and provide them with the new site name to be updated in their
mail client software.


11/15/95

A test IMAP/POP environment has been setup on Atwood (Ultrix).  Oren is
testing with the Netscape POP client.  Atwood will be replaced in late
Dec or early Jan by a cluster of RS/6000 model C20s.  Jim will setup 
meetings with Donn and Mark McNair to begin defining the msh environment.
