We're almost done with the pre-mass-migration phase of this project :) Here's the updated to-do list.

I plan on sending this to the steering committee today to let them know that we plan on having most of our pre-mass-migration work done by Wed 8/27. Thanks!! :)

*** Project Summary of Tasks for Aagaard Migration

To-do list as of 8/22/97

o MCIS support team has written their plan for doing the mass migration - final proposal will require approval from steering committee

o First time login prompt explaining aagaard use policy, requires usr response - Bill U. will add policy doc to web pages

o Email announcements to all clinicians - announce mass migration to all clinicians via email when ready to migrate, provide URLs of doc and policy (post MINDscape project) - Eliot will supply email addresses (using SS#s to be supplied by Bill) to MCIS support for mass mailing

o Eliot will test, from script, new subject text with info on inbox msg

o Complete doc on how to config PC/Mac to access aagaard via dialup - Bill has written this and will put on web for review

o MCIS migrating beta users (DONE, except those who didn't cooperate)

o MCIS User Support is coordinating with WSS to add icons to desktops while waiting to do the mass migration (will happen throughout Sept)

After the Mass Migration Begins

o UW Policy and Standards doc on clinical e-mail on aagaard - Ongoing revisions to the policy doc are expected beyond migration

o Eliot will verify that clinician accounts don't exist on homer 30 days after a clinician migrates to aagaard

o Coordinate expiration of Aagaard accts with SDB and HEPPS - will be in effect once the accting software has been rewritten (we decided to wait for the new and improved expiration system, which is expected in a couple of months) ***************************************************************************

The Steering Committee will provide input/guidance on the following:

o Address MCIS proposal for how to phase the mass migration

Post Migration

o A policy for accommodating affiliates will have to be decided -- this will impact how aagaard accounts and authentication are handled

o Address policy issue of group e-mail accounts for clinic teams

o Address issue of whether aagaard should be one of the choices on the public terminals in the main health sciences library
