Tom and Mike have been working on an AVF client. Mike has a test web interface and Tom has made some binaries Mike's processing calls to add, delete, and search the AVF.
Mike has stopped copying the SVF.INFO from Austen to Daffy, and C&CI is using only the web and command line interface, currently querying a daemon running on Austen. The next step is to query an LDAP server and stop sending SVF information to Austen (except for expiration information which we will need for a while yet).
Tom discovered the DAY1, DAY5, and DAY10 jobs on Austen produce a malformatted SVF.INFO (from SVFGEN.COM) that needs to be investigated.
A namespace design diagram on the whiteboard was discussed at length. Hugh will work on making the diagram a gif or jpeg on the accounting web page.
Our LDAP server needs to be defined to LIPS specification, and there are people awaiting the specifications.
Task review: ------------ Tom: Database development, loading, processing. Faculty/Staff data loading, processing. LDAP server specifications. DB2 for a test Informix replacement. Explore NT. AVF data loading, processing. Investigate Austen's SVFGEN.COM's generation of malformatted SVF.INFO
Pete: Web-based new.
Tracy: Work on entire suite of clients.
Hugh: Work on backup/restore policies. Arrange the removal of SVF.INFO on Austen. Draft namespace design document.
Jim Fox: Extract accounts in Li that do not have owners. Compare vitcos and austen generated li files for Fac/Staff.
Mike H: Review our list of known clients to be sure INFO's needs covered. Make AVF handling web client.
